The Cannaverse

Nighttimes partnered with Youngworld VC’s and the marijuana producers at HiTech to execute this phonk-tastic metaverse. The marijuana focused Metaverse serves as a marketplace, reward-based video game, and digital collectible series. The artists at Nighttimes were granted creative freedom to brand the metaverse, design the digital assets, and advertise this immersive experience. This project’s intersection of collectibles and motion design hits the sweet spot of Nighttimes’ capabilities.

Nighttimes created 10,000 unique digital assets through a generation process: we designed a modular set of attributes (jet trails, jet engine, paint job, etc) before feeding that library of assets to a sorting script. This generation method allowed for nearly-infinite model variations and an efficient look development process. Our designs were catered toward spatial computing, meaning collectibles could be enjoyed on platforms like the Apple Vision Pro.

Over-the-top marketing was produced to feed the twitter hype machine. Nighttimes showed fans the variety of features found in the Cannaverse. Our content teased social media, occupied website landing pages, and entertained customers at loading screens.
